Pollution Prevention Institute
Developing and disseminating technologies and processes to assist companies in reducing pollution and hazardous waste production.
The Pollution Prevention Institute now features its own website. For an overview read below, or go to the official P2I site for even more information.
The Pollution Prevention Institute (P2I) is a comprehensive training and applied research center designed to enhance understanding of pollution prevention techniques while also disseminating technologies to enhance these efforts. P2I offers on-site technical assistance, research and development, technology transfer, and education to assist companies in decreasing - and in some cases eliminating - the production of air and solid waste as well as reducing the use of hazardous materials.
P2I’s efforts have received substantial recognition which includes being awarded the 2004 New York State Environmental Excellence Award and the National Pollution Prevention Roundtable's 2006 MVP2 Award.
